Negotiating the politics of difference demands an inquisitive stance, one that hopes to shed light by asking the right questions. Excavating personal experiences to inform a visual statement is the mode in which I am currently working. By referencing the viewpoints of a broad spectrum of historic and contemporary voices living in diaspora, I hope to gain a greater understanding of self and encourage awareness in others by interrupting the contract of erasure and silence.
